Manatee County Invests in Local Students, Advances Community Projects, Votes Against Flock Cameras

The Manatee Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has approved a partnership with State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) designed to expand access to professional training and higher education while strengthening the local workforce. Through the Suncoast Prosper Scholarship Fund, Manatee County will invest up to $7.5 million over three years to provide “last-dollar” financial assistance to eligible students pursuing associate degrees and certificate programs at SCF.
