New African Masquerades: Artistic Innovations and Collaborations presents thirteen extraordinary full-body masquerade ensembles alongside photography, video, and immersive multimedia experiences that bring the vibrant traditions of contemporary West African masquerade to life. Featuring the work of four internationally acclaimed artists from Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, and Cameroon, the exhibition explores masquerade as a dynamic, collaborative art form—one that continues to evolve while remaining deeply rooted in community, culture, and tradition.
