New College of Florida has announced the Fall 2026 schedule for the Markovitz Socratic Stage, its premier public speaker series. Designed to foster rigorous, open debate, the season connects audiences with leading intellectuals, scholars, jurists and national figures taking on the most consequential questions in American and global life. The series is more than a lecture series. It is a forum for conversation and civil discourse, where challenging ideas are presented, questioned and debated in an atmosphere that values free inquiry and thoughtful dialog. This fall, the season takes up America’s 250th anniversary, the history and law surrounding Israel, American education, artificial intelligence, family and human relationships, leadership and the legacy of Andrew Jackson.
