Growing older can bring new health challenges for anyone. But for many LGBTQ+ older adults, decades of stigma, discrimination and social isolation can create additional barriers to finding trusted healthcare, support and community. A new seven-part series from Senior Friendship Centers is designed to help bridge those gaps through candid conversations, practical information and connections to community resources. “Aging Proudly: A Wellness & Resource Series for Older Adults” runs monthly through March, bringing together healthcare professionals and community partners for conversations about sexual wellness, HIV prevention and treatment, mental health, healthcare advocacy, healthy aging and community resources.
