This December, local businesses, construction professionals and community members will come together for a holiday competition with a much bigger purpose. The Great Gingerbread Build-Off is a live team competition where teams have just two hours to transform gingerbread, icing, sweets and imagination into extraordinary edible creations. With up to 40 teams competing, the pressure is on to build, decorate and innovate before the clock runs out! Celebrity judges will select the top three creations, with $1,500 awarded to first place, $1,000 to second and $750 to third. Proceeds benefit Manatee County Habitat for Humanity’s 2027 Women Build, helping a single mother and her family achieve safe, affordable homeownership. A portion also supports the National Association of Women in Construction’s (NAWIC) NSFS scholarship program.
