Forty Carrots Family Center Receives COVID-19 Response Initiative Grant

The Giving Coast

Forty Carrots Family Center is the grateful recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Covid-19 Response Initiative of Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation. This grant supports technology upgrades and equipment to continue long term remote services. Funds will be used to purchase cloud-based technology for working remotely, new laptops for mental health therapists seeing clients remotely, and pay for a secure telemedicine platform in compliance with all necessary HIPPA regulations.

“The need for far more mental-health services is one of the greatest challenges we are facing during this terrible pandemic,” said Mark Pritchett, President | CEO of Gulf Coast Community Foundation. “Virtual therapy is effective and safe, and we applaud Forty Carrots for innovating in this way to continue serving families.”

Michelle Kapreilian, Forty Carrots CEO states “This invaluable support will ensure Forty Carrots' ability to uphold our operational excellence as we work remotely for the future, without compromising safety and privacy for our clients and staff. With this grant, we will continue serving our community's most vulnerable children and families regardless of the obstacles that COVID-19 has placed in our path.”
