McCulloch Pavilion Named to Historical Register

Business

The Center for Architecture Sarasota's (CFAS) McCulloch Pavilion has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The announcement comes as planning begins for a permanent multi-media exhibit, open to the public, on Sarasota's architecture and design history.Founded in 2013, CFAS raised over $1 million in funds necessary for the building's renovation—all in less than eighteen months—resulting in an award-winning building. The building includes a 100-person lecture hall, a large exhibit gallery, the organization's administrative offices, and the studio and offices of the University of Florida CityLab Sarasota satellite graduate architecture program. The building is under a long-term lease from Sarasota County.
