Doctors Hospital of Sarasota earns another “A” safety grade from the Leapfrog Group. This is the 15th time in a row the hospital has earned the distinction. This national award recognizes the hospital for keeping patients safe.

“The past year and eight months have been the most challenging in healthcare. With COVID-19 we had to make quick adjustments as we learned more about the virus. Through it all our caregivers made serving our community safely their top priority,” said Robert Meade, CEO of Doctors Hospital of Sarasota.

The Leapfrog Group, is an independent national watchdog organization. It assigns “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” letter grades to hospitals across the country based on data from errors, injuries, accidents and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm. Grades are updated twice a year, in the fall and spring.
